what this medicine treats
Below are the five areas patients most often come in for — pain, an overactive nervous system, hormonal cycles, digestion, and the depleted state that sits below ordinary tiredness. They overlap, and a single treatment often works across more than one. Hover, or tap, for more on each.
In my early twenties, a period of sustained stress and anxiety brought me to the limits of understanding life purely through the mind. What I had thought of as something to manage or overcome began revealing itself as a call from the body — an insistence to be felt, recognised, and included.
Over time, this inquiry led me to Chinese medicine — a clear, coherent way of understanding the relationship between body and mind, and a set of powerful, practical tools for working with it directly. My work now centres on practising acupuncture in its most potent, contemporary form — drawing on the most current models, and refining them continually in the dynamic setting of a busy community clinic in Haggerston.
